Hi, A partial functor from C to D is given by a subcategory S of C and a functor from S to D. What is the appropriate notion of natural transformation between partial functors that would allow to turn small categories, partial functors and those "natural transformations" into a bicategory? Ulmer preprint

Dear Category Theorists, I have seen a few references to a 1977 manuscript by Fritz Ulmer, entitled “Bialgebras in locally presentable categories”. John Gray’s 1991 review of the Makkai-Pare book on accessible categories describes it as “never published”. If anyone has a copy of this, I’d be very interested to see it. Regards, Steve Lack. Dear colleagues, The Midlands Graduate School (MGS) in the Foundations of Computing Science is a collaboration between researchers at the Universities of Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield. It was established in 1999. The MGS has two main goals: to provide PhD students with a sound basis for research in the mathematical and practical foundations of computing and to give PhD students the opportunity to make contact with established researchers in the field and their peers who are at a similar stage in their research careers. This year, the MGS is at the University of Nottingham. It will start on 22 April and finish on 26 April.
