CAUTION: The Sender of this email is not from within Dalhousie. Dear Sandra, Beppe, Eugenio, Andrea, and Pino! I cannot speak for the entire community, but speaking for myself (and I’m sure for many with whom I have spoken) I want to express my deep gratitude and high respect for your amazing accomplishment of organizing and conducting such a successful meeting under the most difficult of circumstances. Highest praise! And I fully agree with you about the importance of maintaining our scientific interactions, not only through zoom chats and on-line seminars, but also with our major conference that gathers the entire community. Maintaining our scientific community is of course essential for the exchange and dissemination of new mathematical results and ideas, but perhaps even more so for the intellectual and, yes, social cohesion of our community, and especially for the support and encouragement of our younger researchers (so many of whom attended!). We old-timers know that we will always be there for each other when we can finally meet again, but they need to see that they are not alone (and they need to see how we do things!). So thank you all again most sincerely! Categorical regards, Steve PS: I only wish I could have been there in person - Genoa is my absolute favorite place to have the CT!

Dear colleague,
Thank you again for participating in CT20->21, online and onsite, for giving and attending talks, asking questions, making comments, animating the discussions.
We updated the website of the conference: • we set up a tribute page to the loving memory of Aurelio Carboni and Bob Walters • we linked slides and notes of the talks -- for the talks whose authors have made them available -- and we will keep the website updated as new material becomes available.
In the last announcement for the conference, we wrote:
"despite the high level of uncertainty determined by the pandemic worldwide, we strongly believe that the scientific communities must commit themselves to relaunch research activities with physical meetings whenever possible. And we need the collaboration of the whole community to make it work"
Thank you for making this possible. With over 200 participants, over a third of them attending in Genoa, we can say that the CT community have answered the call. Now, our strong wish is that more physical meetings may take place in future, and not only ideas but also people can circulate again.
Stay safe!
With our best regards,
Sandra Mantovani, Beppe Metere, Eugenio Moggi, Andrea Montoli, Pino Rosolini
