The maths dept in Glasgow is hiring again: http://jobs.ac.uk/jobfiles/HX312.html and for more info, http://www.maths.gla.ac.uk/ The ad speaks of "a number of appointments"; unofficially, that number is likely to be 2 or 3. These will be lectureships, senior lectureships, or readerships, all of which are tenured positions. The reason for all this hiring is that many of our staff are reaching retirement age. There have already been 8 new appointments in the past two years, out of a total of about 40 faculty, so there's a lot of new energy in the department.
