Dear Categoricians, There will be a special session on "Tensor Categories" at the 2010 Summer meeting of the CMS. It will be held on June 4-6 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. We've used the Joyal-Street term "Tensor Categories" rather than the classical "Monoidal Categories" to emphasize the rapid development we have seen recently in the field, motivated by a wide array of new applications. The talks will be a half hour long. There may be minimal support, mostly covering some expenses for graduate students or post-docs.
