Conference and papers for Charles Ehresmann's centenary 2005 marks the 100th anniversary of Charles Ehresmann's birth. To commemorate it, we are organizing an International Conference "Charles Ehresmann : 100 ans" at the Universit=E9 de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, on October 7 to 9, 2005. The first day will begin by some general lectures on the life and work of Charles Ehresmann, and their prolongations. Then there will be 3 parallel sessions: Topology and Differential Geometry, Category Theory, Multidisciplinary applications with a Symposium ECHO V. The category part will include a session of SIC (Seminaire Itinerant de Catgories) and The 82nd session of the "Peripatetic Seminar on Sheaves and Logic" (October 8-9) More information can be found on the Internet site dedicated to Charles: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/vbm-ehr/ChEh The participation to the Conference is free and we hope for a large attendance. Many lectures will be by invited speakers (a first list can be found on the site); additional talks will be scheduled in the limit of the time available. The site already contains some photos and documents on the life and works of Charles. We intend to enrich it with (mathematical or memories) papers dedicated to Charles. These papers could be papers presented to the Conference, or written by persons who don't intend to come to Amiens but would like to contribute. So we invite all interested persons to propose a paper (10 pages maximum) to be posted on this site, As these papers will only be published online, the authors will remain free to later publish them in a Journal.
