We're advertising two jobs, across mathematics: http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/AEY602/lecturer-senior-lecturer-reader/ To give the usual explanation about the British system: these are all open-ended positions (i.e. the closest the UK comes to tenure). The four levels for academics here are, in order, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor; we're advertising at all levels except the last. I'm about to move to the University of Edinburgh, but plenty of people with categorical interests will remain at Glasgow (e.g. Richard Steiner, Danny Stevenson, Uli Kraehmer, Andy Baker). There's also Neil Ghani and co. a short hop away at Strathclyde. Best wishes, Tom [For admin and other information see: http://www.mta.ca/~cat-dist/ ]
