During a discussion at the Durham meeting last year on monads versus comonads in semantics of programming languages Bill Lawvere made a remark on some recent work where a concept has been developed which generalizes both monads and comonads. It should be the Thesis by a person called Thiebaud or Thibault or so ... I would be very grateful for any reference on this work !
