It is well known that the homotopy relation on maps of simplicial sets is not symmetric nor transitive (it is reflexive). Is there a standard name for its symmetric, reflexive closure. I have been calling it wide homotopy, but I don't want to introduce a new term if there is a standard one. Michael [For admin and other information see: http://www.mta.ca/~cat-dist/ ]
