Re: Q.: "David Publications" e-Journal?
Heh, heh ... I should have YaBinGled a bit harder before asking just now. Here's a site confirming worse than I ever dared suspect re David Pub'g: http://scholarlyoa.com/2012/02/29/david-publishing-flipping-its-model/ . Now that the Universal Algebra sessions at the recent Hawaiian AMS meetings are over, I have an email from subject "David Publications" soliciting a MS
from me expanding on the Abstract I submitted there.
My question: who are these folks? Legit? or shady? Identified as
Journal of Mathematics and System Science, USA ISSN 2159-5291 (Print); ISSN 2159-5305 (Online)
under the motto
From Knowledge to Wisdom ,
they characterize themselves as "an international, scholarly and peer-reviewed journal (print and online) published monthly by David Publishing Company, USA which was founded in 2001."
Their email incorporates numerous stylistic gaffes; what's more, their authors "are required to sign the Transfer of Copyright Agreement form."
So I'm doubtful, at first glance, but I don't know, so I'm asking.
Thanks for any insights. And cheers,
-- Fred
