Dear categorists, I wonder if anyone can shed any light on the article: J. C. Cole, "The bicategory of topoi, and spectra" which is variously cited as "JPAA, to appear" (though it didn't) and "unpublished". The clearest description of what is apparently its main result I have found is in PTJ's 1977 Topos Theory book (Theorem 6.58). However, it would be nice to see what else might have been in there. Thus, if anyone happened to have a copy which they might be able to share with me, I would be most grateful! Richard [For admin and other information see: http://www.mta.ca/~cat-dist/ ]
Thanks to all who responded to my message. Peter Johnstone has now furnished me with a copy of this preprint. Richard On Thu, Jul 10, 2014, at 04:53 PM, Richard Garner wrote:

Perhaps there is a way to make Cole's preprint more widely available? I am sure that there are many in this list that have shared Richard's curiosity for several years; myself among them. We would all be grateful. Incidentally, it seems relevant to mention Dubuc's JPAA 149 article, Section 9 there in particular, as a complement to Johnstone's exposition in his 1977 book. Mat?as. Dear All, I have decided to make available from my website a scanned copy of Cole's preprint that Peter Johnstone had given me. It can be found at the address http://www.oliviacaramello.com/Unification/ColeBicategoryTopoiSpectra.pdf . There is also a link to the paper at the bottom of the following page: http://www.oliviacaramello.com/Unification/Resources.html . It is a marvelous piece of work which deserves to be widely read. I hope that the author will not mind his old preprint being put on the internet. I would be grateful to anyone who can provide me with his contact details, which I have not managed to find, so that I can make sure that he is fine with this. Best regards, Olivia
