Kelly et al: “2-dimensional universal algebra” - references?
CAUTION: The Sender of this email is not from within Dalhousie. The 1989 paper “Two-dimensional monad theory” (Blackwell, Kelly, Power) describes itself as “the first of a series of articles reporting the work of Kelly and various of his colleagues on what we may call two-dimensional universal algebra”. It refers to later articles on “two-dimensional structures defined by finite limit theories” and “presentations of monads and related syntactic issues”, to include “coherence results, to the effect that something non-strict may be replaced by an equivalent something that is non-strict”. Does anyone have references to these later papers, assuming they ever got written? I’ve looked through citations of the 1989 paper and didn’t spot anything obvious. Steve.
