Summer School on Theory and Applications of(∞,n)-Categories
Dear colleagues We are pleased to announce the Summer School on Theory and Applications of (∞,n)-Categories. The Summer School will take place from July 5 to 9, 2027, at BIRS-IAN on the UBC Okanagan campus in Kelowna, Canada. It aims to introduce graduate students and early-career researchers to the theory of (∞,n)-categories and its applications in modern mathematics. The program will feature four coordinated lecture series by: - Viktoriya Ozornova (MPIM Bonn, Germany) - Lorenzo Riva (Harvard CMSA, USA) - Julia Plavnik (Indiana University, USA) — TBC - Theo Johnson-Freyd (Dalhousie University, Canada) The first two lecture series will introduce participants to the theory of (∞,n)-categories. The other two will explore applications of higher categories to categorical representation theory and topological quantum field theory. More information is available on the conference website (https://lynemoser.com/workshopncat/ [https://lynemoser.com/workshopncat/]), and applications will open at a later date. In the meantime, save the week and stay tuned! We will share further information as soon as applications open! On behalf of the organizers: Lyne Moser, Nima Rasekh, Martina Rovelli, and Maru Sarazola
