Announcement of a paper A preliminary version of my paper "The word problem for computads" has been put on my web-site (www.math.mcgill.ca/makkai). The manuscript is complete, except for the bibliographical references, and a more descriptive introduction that, I now think, should be written. I will complete the references section and write the new introduction in early May. The paper is in a WinZip file that unzips to 10 POSTSCIPT files.
