The 40th ARTIN (Algebra and Representation Theory in the North) meeting will take place at the University of Sheffield May 9-10. Any algebraically-inclined category theorists in the area are welcome to join us. The schedule of the conference is as follows. Saturday: 9:00-10:00 John Huerta (Lisbon): Trigroups and M-theory. 10:30-11:30 Dmitry Roytenberg (MPIM-Bonn): Equivalence of models of "up to homotopy" algebras of differentiable functions. 11:45-12:45 Jacob Rasmussen (Cambridge): Torus knots and the rational DAHA. All talks will be in LT-3, and there will be a dinner on Friday night.
