Some of us use the RSS feed http://export.arxiv.org/rss/math.CT to have the arXiv updates delivered directly into our brains. I highly recommend the method, especially when you combine several RSS feed into a single one with one of the aggregators. I use Googl reader http://www.google.com/reader/.
