Dear all. Applications are invited for a two-year postdoc position in mathematical physics and neighbouring fields. The position will be at the mathematics department of the university of Vienna, and also associated with the Erwin Schrödinger Institute for Mathematical Physics, in the group of Nils Carqueville. The group's interests include topological quantum field theory, higher categories, homological link invariants, 2d/4d correspondences, topological string theory, and categorical quantum mechanics. Both mathematicians and theoretical physicists with such or similar expertise and interests are highly encouraged to apply. The position (to start in autumn of 2015) comes without any teaching duties, but with a comprehensive individual budget for attending workshops, as well as individual visits to and from other scientists. To apply, please send your CV and research statement to Nils Carqueville (nils.carqueville@univie.ac.at), and arrange for at least two letters of recommendation to be sent to the same address. The application deadline is December 20. [For admin and other information see: http://www.mta.ca/~cat-dist/ ]
