It is possible to back order copies and to subscribe to the series - info in the issue at the back. In Montreal it's not too hard to find this series - eg, the newsvendor on Laurier just west of Parc Ave has them (that's where I got my Goedel issue). -= rags =- On Mon, 4 Oct 2004, Luigi Logrippo wrote:
This is a commercial... hopefully of interest to many.
A special issue of the French magazine 'Pour la science' is dedicated to Kurt Gödel. There are 100 pages of presentations of Gödels's main ideas, life, collaborators, teachers, precursors, etc. There are many photos, so you can see Gödel when he was a toddler, his thesis supervisor, etc.
More info on this is on http://perso.club-internet.fr/pluton1/concepts/godel_2004.htm
Where to find it? Until yesterday, there were several copies at the Maison de la Presse Internationale on Bank near Queen (In front of the Royal Bank and beside the CIBC). I don't know how long they will be available.
There were previous issues on Hilbert and Turing. I would not know how to get them, though...
